It's a good thing I decided to get up earlier today. The weather was nice and calm until about 6:15 this morning when the wind picked up and the temperature dropped. People usually freak when the weather changes so I decided to leave earlier for work, just in case there were any problems on the road. Fortunately for my beautiful readers, the road was clear ... of other drivers. Mostly. The only traffic jam I encountered were tumbleweeds--one giant and a roadblock (that thank goodness someone else cleared.).

Those flecks are not from my camera. It's actual debris flying by.
That's my car on the right so you can compare the sizes.

Roadside attractions ...

My camera was beeping at this point because my batteries were dying. Just as I was about to take a picture of both sides of the road, my camera died. Being that it's Laredo, the mess will still be out there when I drive back on my way home.
It's also still windy, so maybe the piles will be larger. We can only hope.

Holy crap! That looks crazy. I've never seen an actual tumbleweed before.
(and when you say the temperature drops you mean like to 85, right?)
C'mon. It's South Texas. It's in the upper 90s year round. Believe it or not, according to my widget, it's 63.
