If I had a hammer (or very foolish, but wealthy investors)

If I had hammer, I might be confident to even think about buying this hotel in Catarina.

I know it's probably really really expensive, but I can dream, can't I? I've driven past this hotel for as long as I can remember. It's in the first town we pass on my way to visit my grandparents in La Pryor. It might be more realistic to buy property in La Pryor, but I always thought this hotel was really romantic. Even though it's South Texas and temps hover over 100 degrees F, I can picture myself drinking lemonade in the courtyard. I also see myself serving guests homemade pie from behind the counter in the diner.

R asked me what I'd do differently to make it profitable. There's nothing out there, except hunting, so maybe try to turn it into another Fredericksburg? How does someone exploit a ghost town?

Well, first you need to make sure that MTV holds it's next Spring Breakout there and then if you can have a celebrity hide there--like Britney, you're in the clear.
