I am not a morning person. I'd rather stay up late and get stuff done than wake up early and get stuff done. Normally, I can get up at 7 a.m. and make it to work by 8 a.m. Between now and early May though, I need to be at work at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays because I'm taking a class and I need to make up the time because it runs 15 minutes more than my lunch break (plus to and fro walking time). (I'm taking an Arabic class; I thought it would improve my Spanish; my logic is faulty though because I could have just taken a Spanish class to improve my Spanish, no?)
I thought I was going to be able to handle it, but 1) I haven't studied since the '90s and 2) I can't seem to leave the house on time to get to work at 7:30. What's worse is that my son told my husband this morning, "So much for getting up early." Ugh, like daggers through my heart.
So now that my son has shamed me and I've shared with my friends that shame, perhaps I will start going to bed and getting up earlier. Housework and TV be damned!

I don't think that there's anything other than a house fire that could get me up and out of bed before 7:30. Don't feel bad.
Arabic? What kind of terrorist language is that?
