I had my first quiz in class today and I don't think I did very well. Grr. As Jenny said, I can't write my way out of low quiz/test grades. I know how to say the vocabulary words and I know what they're talking about if I hear it, but reading? Especially 6 point Arabic type?! I should do like Americans do and stick to English. Which reminds me, the local paper did a story on how 60 percent of first time community college students take a remedial course--basically they can't read or write. And these are the students who transfer to the university and major in education.
It all bodes well for me though because they won't be trying to get my job. So maybe my Arabic isn't too good, but that's OK.
