Before I bore you with pictures from my vacation, I just want to show my solidarity to Jensational because like her mom, my mom (and my mother-in-law) have no respect for what I do. My press releases are published in the newspaper weekly, but because they don't put my byline, my mom doubts my claims.
When my washer broke, my mom kept lecturing me over and over again about the dangers of overloading a washing machine. Grr. I didn't overload it. My mother-in-law also kept telling me how her washing machine lasted for 30 years and how she's never washed a full load (not environmentally friendly, especially in drought-prone Odessa).
So Jensational, all I can say is that we can't win. All we can do is do our best not to be like that with our children.
