Sweet Sausage

I wanted to make lasagna for dinner tonight, but the store Dan'l picked didn't have lazy people's lasagna noodles (the kind that don't require boiling). The store is touted as "plus," but whenever I go, I still end up going to another store because they don't carry certain things.

Today I was looking for mild or sweet (preferably sweet) Italian sausage. They only had hot Italian sausage. I looked through the three giant floor coolers and two walls filled with a variety of meats. I decided to ask the butchers if they had any because there was a sign that said, "If you don't see it, ask us about it." So I asked the butcher and he asked, "Did you look over there?"

Me: "Yes. I could only find hot sausage, but I want sweet or mild." (I also bit my lip so I wouldn't giggle with all the sausage talk."

Butcher: "Then we don't have any."

Me: "But the sign says ..."

Butcher: "Next."

Me: "Grr."

I decided that I didn't want to deal with this again so I decided to do a veggie lasagna. Except they only carry the tastes like cardboard, but R loves how they taste whole wheat noodles and another box of regular noodles. All for more than $3. At this point, meatball sandwiches were starting to sound pretty good. But I was looking forward to lasagna so I drove to the other store and bought what I needed.

Sure this other store is smaller and it's sometimes stinky, but they always carry mild or sweet Italian sausage so I can't complain.

Don't hate me because I live an exciting life.
